For yoga, meditation, and breathwork practitioners, the digital experience access to practice is of great importance. It is not just an inconvenience; a disorganized, slow or erratic app is directly working against the very calm and distraction-free atmosphere that the practice is striving to engender.
Svapurna understood this, and their brief reflected it: build a platform where the technology disappears and the practice takes over.
The client’s core requirements were specific and technically demanding:
- Full GDPR compliance – data collection, storage, consent management, and user data handling aligned with German and EU privacy regulations from day one
- Cross-device reach without multiple native apps – a single PWA needed to deliver an app-quality experience across Android, iOS, tablets, and desktops without separate builds to maintain
- Offline content access as a non-negotiable – yoga and meditation practitioners often practice in locations without reliable internet: flights, outdoor spaces, quiet retreats. The content had to travel with the user
- A subscription commerce model – recurring billing, plan management, and premium content access control all had to work seamlessly within the PWA experience, integrated with Mollie as the preferred German-market payment gateway
- Content personalization – Favorites, Recently Used, and custom playlist building to transform a static content library into a personal wellness companion
- German multilingual support – with the architecture ready to expand into additional languages as Svapurna grows

EcomSupport360’s design and development philosophy was to approach the Svapurna project with a wellness-first approach.
Each and every architectural, UX and feature decision was judged on one question: does this enhance or detract from the calm, personalized, distraction-free experience that the Svapurna brand needs?
The PWA is developed using Flutter (Front-end application layer) and WordPress (Back-end content management layer), which gave Svapurna the best of both worlds: a high-performance user experience and an easy-to-maintain and manage content management layer that Svapurna team can update without technical dependency.
Offline access was an integral part of the architecture, not an afterthought.
Content was developed with a download system that enables users to download courses, sessions and content without an internet connection, content which is stored securely on the device and available to the user in the same clean interface as online content.
The subscription system has been designed with WooCommerce Subscriptions for managing plans, and Mollie for handling payments; both were selected because of their robust integration of SEPA payment methods and their great support for the German market.
The entire subscription flow, from plan selection to paying for it to providing access to content, was seamlessly integrated within the PWA without the abruptness or discomfort known in the subscription model.
GDPR compliance was embedded into the platform and not just applied as an afterthought, including data collection, storage, data handling and consent management in line with German and EU privacy laws.

The Solution
A Fully-Fledged Flutter and WordPress PWA Application of the Wellness Market in Germany.
Each of the four streams of our platform – PWA architecture and core development, content and CMS, subscription commerce, personalization and compliance – was designed with one big goal in mind – to create an integrated whole.
Phase 1: Flutter PWA Architecture & WordPress Backend
One Codebase. Every Device. App-Level Performance.
The decision was made that Flutter was the PWA framework, which means that they would be able to provide a native quality experience for Android, iOS, tablet and desktop, without having to build a separate app for each platform.
- Designed and created the entire Flutter PWA from scratch, including the app layer, navigation architecture, delivery system, and UI elements
- Set up WordPress as the content management system and granted the Swapurna team complete control of meditation, breathwork and yoga sessions, with no dependency on developers.
- Developed the clean API layer between WordPress backend and Flutter front-end, ensuring seamless and real-time content delivery.
- Delivered a uniform experience and visual appearance across all device types and screen resolutions.
Phase 2: Offline Download System & Custom Wellness Player
Practice That Travels With the User – in Any Environment.
- Offline access and custom media player stood out as two key features of the user experience. They are both designed for the wellness environment.
- Developed full-offline download and storage system – secure on-device caching, download control and offline playback for all content types
- Created a personalized audio and video player with wellness-friendly controls, progress tracking, background playing, and a distraction-free GUI
- Designed the player’s UI for the meditation and yoga space: calm, uncluttered and free from the ‘sloppy’ UI of generic music players
- Tested the offline functionality, and players’ performance during all screen breakpoints and device types.
Phase 3: Subscription Commerce & Payment Integration

The subscription and payment system is designed to be intuitive and seamless within the app, rather than a standalone check-out process.
- Set up WooCommerce Subscriptions to create plans, manage recurring billing, track subscription statuses and control access to content at every level
- Integrated Mollie with full recurring payments support, SEPA, and seamless checkout flow integrated in the PWA
- Designed the entire subscription flow from plan selection, Mollie payment, to access provisioning for WooCommerce and content unlocking, all within one seamless experience.

The final layer turned Svapurna from a content library into a personal wellness companion, without compromising on the platform’s compliance with all the requirements of German and EU regulations.
- Mentor students in the development of a custom playlist builder that can be used to generate, edit and play back a sequence of meditation and yoga content that suits the student’s practice.
- Improved Favorites and Recently Used personalization elements underpinned by underlying user data architecture and UI components to match
- Created a multilingual approach for all interface elements, content labels, payment flows and communications including the architecture for future languages as Svapurna grows.
- End-to-end GDPR compliance with integrated consent management, data handling, privacy controls and storage according to German and EU regulations.
